Marimo Balls

In Japanese folklore, a tribal chief's daughter was in love with a man but her father disapproved. The two lovers ran away together and fell into the water of Lake Akan where their hearts turned into marimo balls, a plant of love. Marimo balls are thought to bring love and good luck to both the giver and the receiver.
